Departure from Toronto Friday May 18

Day 1- Sat May 19 Arrival to Rome Leonardo da Vinci Rome airport and transfer to Rome City Center. Check in to our hotel Quirinale. Free afternoon. In the evening: dinner in a typical Roman restaurant (At own expenses).

Day 2- Sun May 20 Check out and transfer to Sorrento (Amalfi Coast – Naples) by minivan. Light lunch along the way (At own expenses). Upon arrival to Sorrento, check in to our accommodation hotel Settimocielo. In the afternoon, orientation tour  and seafood dinner by the port (At own expenses).

Day 3- Mon May 21 At 9:00am departure by minivan for a day Tour of the Amalfi Coast , visiting Positano, RavelloAmalfi and many other magic villages enjoying wonderful panoramic views. We will stop for a light lunch to a small family restaurant (At own expenses) and we will shop to colorful artisan workshops. In the evening: return to Sorrento for a real Pizza Napoletana dinner (At own expenses).

Day 4- Tue May 22 Day at leisure. Optional: walking to the old Sorrento area for Limoncello tasting and shopping.  At  7pm dinner to a restaurant in Sorrento (At own expenses).

Day 5 - Wed May 23 At 9:00am departure for a day tour to Pompeii, with a guided visit of the archeological park. Then we will visit a winery at the foot of Mount Vesuvio with wine tasting and shopping and where we will enjoy a lunch with spaghetti Setaro and tomato sauce made with authentic San Marzano tomatoes (At own expenses). Afterwards we will return to our hotel. Dinner to restaurant in Sorrento (At own expenses).

Day 6 - Thu May 24 Day-tour to Island of Capri. By boat, from Sorrento, we will reach the famous island for a stroll in Anacapri village and a boat tour around the island with visit to the Blu Grotto (optional). Light lunch (At own expenses).  Around 5pm we will be back to our accommodation.  Dinner to restaurant in Sorrento (At own expenses).

Day 7- Fri May 25 Check out and transfer by high-speed train from Naples to Montepulciano, Tuscany. Check in to our accommodation Agriturismo Il Serraglio Wine and Olive Oil Farm. Relaxing afternoon by the swimming pool and dinner with cheeses and cold cuts at the main villa (included) with our friend Roberto “the Italian Dog Whisperer” (And property’s owner).

 Day 8 – Sat May 26 

Around 10am, departure from our villa for a visit to Montepulciano. Then we will drive to the medieval caste of Montichiello. Crossing the beautifu Val D’Orcia valley we will reach Pienza after a stop for taking pictures of this  part of the Senese countryside famous for the perfect landscape of enchanting hillsides, oak woods, olive groves, vineyards…. Light lunch along the way (At own expenses).   Afterwards we will coast downhill to the enchanting spa town of Bagno Vignoni, a minuscule village whose ancient stone buildings cluster around a 150-by-90-foot pool of warm thermal waters.  Dinner: Pizza night at local Pizzeria in Montepulciano (At own expenses).

Day 9 – Sun May 27 Morning by the swimming pool. Around 12am we will leave for a visit to Siena. Following the route of the Via Francigena, the old pilgrimage route from northern Europe to Rome, like pilgrims we will venture into mysterious alleys, among towers and castles, in search of the breathtaking views of the city of the famous Palio horse race.  Light lunch with cheeses and cold cuts (At own expenses). In late afternoon return to Montepulciano for a dinner at our place tasting homemade Pici  hand-made pasta and Chianina beef, prepared by Manuela, Roberto’s wife (included).

Day 10 - Mon May 28 After Breakfast: Departure for a visit to Florence. In the morning: Orientation tour of the city and visit to major attractions. Optional visit to: Uffizi Gallery and/or Accademia (Michelangel’s David). Light panini lunch (At own expenses). Afternoon: shopping, and dinner in a typical Florentine restaurant (At own expenses).

Day 11 – Tue May 29 Check out. Driving South along the Tyrrhenian Sea coast we will across the Park of Maremma with a stop for lunch (At own expenses) in the area of Monte Argentario. Then we will drive the coast till Fiumicino (Rome). Check in to our hotel near Leonardo da Vinci airport. Dinner in hotel (At own expenses).

Day 12 - Wed May 30 Early check out and transfer to our terminal for departure to Toronto.

Rates:

CAN$ 4,350.00 per person plus taxes (HST=$565.50 + eventual fuel surcharges at departure time).

Single supplement: CAN$ 1000.00 plus taxes (HST=$130.00).

Deposit due at booking: CAN$ 650.00 per person.  Final payment: 60 days prior departure.

Deposit is not refundable under any circumstances, except the tour is cancelled because minimum number is not reached.

Air discount for passengers wishing to buy their own ticket $ 1,000.00 per passenger.

The tour requires a minimum of 8 participants. If minimum numbers are not reached the tour will be cancelled and participants will receive full payment reimbursement.

Once the tour has been confirmed, no refunds will be made under any circumstances for any unused sectors or sections.·If the reason for a client cancellation is covered by the client insurance policy, the client will be able to make a claim under that policy.
